In this critical role, the Loss Prevention Manager will be responsible for the overall protection of company assets in the Distribution Center including company property, monies, merchandise, employees and their property.

Specific job responsibilities include:

• Investigate any security, safety or loss-related incident and prepare detailed reports concerning matters investigated.
• Interact with Distribution Center Management as needed to ensure that management has been briefed on all Security related incidents. There is a dotted line relationship with the General Manager of the DC.
• Responsible for the supervision of nine direct reports in the Loss Prevention Department. (Interviewing, hiring, directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees)
• Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of existing physical security equipment such as CCTV System, Access Control System, Fire and Burglar Alarm Systems, and Key and Lock System; ensure that all systems are administered and work properly.
• In partnership with the DC Management Team, develop, implement and monitor facility safety programs - Employee safety and OSHA compliance.
• Comply with all Company/Distribution Center work rules, policies and procedures regarding performance and conduct.
• Assist Human Resources in the administration of the company drug-testing program.
• Develop and maintain security officer training and policy and procedure manual.
• While physically touring the Distribution Center be able to observe and detect security/loss prevention related issues.
• Administer the initial receiving process of all Import Containers delivered by outside contractors to the Distribution Center to ensure compliance to current regulations

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one or more years related experience (i.e., retail Loss Prevention, Distribution Center or Guard duty, etc.) and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Previous Distribution Center Loss Prevention experience preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Previous Supervisory/Management experience
• Ability to work a flexible schedule
