Position Title: Manager of Human Resource Compliance and Policy
Description: Our client, a highly regarded, well established, multi-billion dollar retail company is seeking a Manager of HR Compliance. This person will be responsible for overseeing company compliance with all state and federal employment and labor laws by reviewing and drafting personnel policies and procedures and providing training for human resources personnel on compliance issues. They will also assist and maintain a non-union environment by developing fair and equitable personnel policies and procedures, reviewing and drafting appropriate communication to foster good Team Member relations, review and draft fair disciplinary procedures, providing legal assistance, counsel and support during union organizing activity and defending and providing support of the defense to the company in claims arising under the National Labor Act.

Requirements:

Candidates must have at least 3 years experience as a human resources generalist or experience in a law firm where they have been involved in counseling management on employment and labor laws, regulations and related compliance issues as well as drafting personnel policies. Individual must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Experience in a multi-store retail or services industry is a plus. A Juris Doctorate is required.
